Booking and payment:

Booking for sailing excursions with Sailing Star Srl must be made online on the company's website. Payment can be made online by credit card or bank transfertake place. Upon agreement, payment can be made in cash on site on the day of the excursion.

Availability:

The booking of the sailing excursion depends on the availability of the boat and the staff of the company Sailing Star Srl. The booking will only be confirmed after full payment has been received.

Communication:

The company Sailing Star Srl will communicate with the passengers by email, chat or phone to confirm the booking of the sailing excursion and to give more information about sailing.

​

Transport:

Transport to and from the starting point of the sailing excursion is not included in the price of the excursion. Passengers are responsible for their own transportation.

Changes and Cancellations:

Sailing Star Srl reserves the right to make changes to the itinerary, dates and weather conditions at any time in order to ensure the safety of passengers and the sailboat. In case of cancellation by the passenger, Sailing Star Srl applies a cancellation policy based on the notice period and the amount paid.

Cancellations and Refunds:

Passenger cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance to receive a full refund. If the cancellation is made less than 48 hours before the excursion, no refund will be given.

 

Unforeseen events:

In case of unforeseen situations, such as mechanical breakdowns or unfavorable weather conditions, Sailing Star Srl reserves the right to cancel the sailing trip or change the itinerary. In such a case, the company will try to find a reasonable alternative in order to guarantee the passengers a positive experience.

Passenger Responsibility:

The passenger is responsible for his own health, safety and well-being during the sailing trip with Sailing Star Srl. The passenger is obliged to observe the safety rules on board and follow the instructions of the captain of the sailboat.

Security on board:

Sailing Star Srl takes all the necessary security measures to ensure the safety of passengers on board the sailboat. However, the passenger must pay attention to the weather conditions and possible emergency situations.

Passenger Obligations:

Passengers must be able to swim or be under parental supervision and be in good physical condition. In addition, they must be considerate of the other passengers on board the sailboat and must not disturb others.

Insurance:

Sailing Star Srl has insurance cover for the sailboat and the passengers on board. However, the passenger is recommended to take out personal insurance to cover any accidents or illnesses that may occur during the sailing trip.

Company Liability:

Sailing Star Srl is not responsible for any damage or loss of personal belongings on board the sailboat. Also, the company is not liable for any physical or material damage caused by the passenger on board the sailboat.

Recommended clothing:

Passengers are advised to wear comfortable and practical clothing such as sneakers, hat, sunscreen, windbreaker and sunglasses. It is also recommended to take a waterproof bag to protect personal belongings from water. It is forbidden to wear shoes on the boat, everyone is barefoot.

Denial of service:

Sailing Star Srl reserves the right to refuse service to any passenger who is visibly intoxicated or under the influence of drugs. Also, the company reserves the right to refuse service to any passenger who does not comply with the safety rules on board or the captain's instructions.

Passenger Responsibility:

Passengers are responsible for their own safety on board the sailing ship. In particular, they must follow the captain's instructions, observe safety regulations and keep the boat clean and tidy during the excursion.

​

Alcohol and Tobacco:

Smoking on board the sailboat is allowed on deck using an ashtray. The consumption of alcohol is only allowed in moderation. In addition, it is forbidden to take illegal drugs on board the sailboat.

Damage to the boat:

Passengers are liable for any damage caused to the sailboat during the trip. In the event of damage, Sailing Star Srl will charge the necessary costs to repair or replace the damaged items.

Itinerary Changes:

Sailing Star Srl reserves the right to make changes to the sailing excursion itinerary for safety reasons or any other unforeseen reason. However, the company will always try to find a reasonable alternative to ensure a positive experience for passengers.

​

Complaints:

Passengers are obliged to immediately report any complaints or problems during the sailing trip to the captain or the staff of Sailing Star Srl company so that they can be solved promptly.

Rights of Sailing Star Srl:

Sailing Star Srl reserves the right to deny access to the sailboat or to ask passengers to leave the sailboat if they do not comply with the conditions described above or if they endanger the safety of other passengers.

Protection of the marine environment:

Sailing Star Srl promotes the protection of the marine environment and encourages passengers to respect the ecosystem while sailing. Passengers must avoid polluting the sea and damaging marine fauna and flora.

Equipment:

Sailing Star Srl provides the necessary equipment for the sailing excursion, such as safety equipment, but assumes no responsibility for damage or loss to passengers' personal equipment.

​

Food allergies and intolerances:

Passengers must inform Sailing Star Srl in advance of any food allergies or intolerances they may have so that the company can adjust the onboard menu accordingly.

 

Interruption of the sailing trip:

Sailing Star Srl reserves the right to interrupt or cancel the sailing trip for safety reasons, eg in the case of unfavorable weather conditions or tectechnical problems with the sailing boat. In this case, passengers have the choice between a partial refund or a postponement of the excursion to another date.

Photography and video recording:

Passengers are allowed to take photos and videos for personal use during the sailing excursion. However, it is forbidden to use such photos or videos for commercial purposes or advertising without the written consent of Sailing Star Srl.

Liability of passengers:

Passengers are responsible for their personal belongings on board the sailboat. Sailing Star Srl will not be held responsible for any damage or loss to passengers' personal belongings.

Disputes:

In the event of any dispute between Sailing Star Srl and the passengers, the parties will try to resolve the matter amicably. If no amicable agreement is reached, the dispute will be decided according to Italian law.

 

Changes to the General Terms and Conditions:

Sailing Star Srl reserves the right to make changes to the General Terms and Conditions without prior notice. The changes are effective from the moment they are posted on the company's website.

Data protection:

Sailing Star Srl respects the privacy of passengers and will process personal data in accordance with Italian data protection regulations. Passengers' personal information will only be used for purposes related to the sailing trip and will not be disclosed to third parties except for legal reasons or based on requests approved by the passenger.

Booking a sailing excursion with Sailing Star Srl implies acceptance of the conditions described above. Passengers should read the conditions carefully before making the booking.
